Law in Colorado

The Colorado legal community is unique in its commitment to taking diversity efforts in the profession to the next level.  While many other legal organizations put diversity efforts on the back burner during the Great Recession, Colorado’s legal community pulled together and intensified efforts to recruit, retain, and advance diverse attorneys.  CLI’s innovative programs and initiatives- particularly its game-changing inclusiveness manual and program - now serve as models for the legal profession.

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness (f/k/a Colorado Campaign for Inclusive Excellence) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by a group of dedicated lawyers, law deans, judges, and legal professionals in Denver in October 2007.  CLI is attacking the diversity dilemma in the legal profession on all three fronts:  pipeline, recruiting, and retention.  Its ground-breaking work in inclusiveness is now being recognized as a model for success for other legal organizations and communities.
