Three participants will be honored and recognized for their individual efforts to make the legal profession more diverse and inclusive at the Legal Inclusiveness & Diversity Summit luncheon on Monday, May 7 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown hotel. Top participants and other attorneys from Colorado and across the country participated in Step Up for Diversity: Take Action to Build an Inclusive Legal ProfessionTM, a one-of-a-kind, national, online campaign developed by the Center for Legal Inclusiveness, a Denver-based nonprofit leading the legal industry in education and initiatives to improve the retention and advancement of diverse and female attorneys.

Attorneys from Colorado and across the country will attend the Center for Legal Inclusiveness’ (CLI) 6th Annual Legal Inclusiveness & Diversity SummitTM, on Monday, May 7, 2012 in Denver, Colorado at the Sheraton Denver Downtown hotel. CLI is partnering with the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) to provide inclusiveness training for MCCA's new Academy for Leadership and Inclusion in 2012. CLI will lead training programs for MCCA's members and Firm Affiliate Network in 10 cities nationwide.

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI), the Colorado Pledge to Diversity Legal Group (The Pledge Group) and the Association of Corporate Counsel-Colorado Chapter (ACC) are partnering with Kaplan Test Prep to offer multiple Diversity LSAT Exam Scholarships for 2012 test takers. Scholarships cover the cost of a review course, the exam fee, and application fees to both the University of Colorado Law School and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

University of Colorado Law School student Shandea Jo Williams has been selected as the recipient of the 2012 Diversity Bar Exam Scholarship. The scholarship includes a bar review course with Kaplan PMBR and the application fee for the Colorado Bar Examination.
