This fall, CLI is coordinating a Continuing Legal Education Expo, featuring a full day of workshops presented by diversity and inclusiveness experts.  It is an opportunity for attendees to increase their knowledge and earn CLE ethics credits, as well as an ideal setting for presenters to showcase their abilities to organizations in need of consulting and training.  CLI is soliciting proposals to fill eight, fifty minute sessions.The Expo will be held Monday, November 14, 2011, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm at Faegre & Benson LLP, 1700 Lincoln Street, Suite 3200, Denver, CO. more»

The Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI) mourns the loss of David Getches, former dean of the University of Colorado Law School, who served on CLI’s Board of Directors and who was a beacon for the Colorado legal community.

In his more than two decades at CU Law School, Professor Getches was not only a national authority on natural resources and Indian law; he was also a tireless advocate for making the legal profession more diverse and inclusive.

Several times a year, a Denver-based organization called the Center for Legal Inclusiveness (CLI) sifts through the latest data reports from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.  They then use those stats to compile a comparative list of American professions, ranked according to their diversity. more»

In an effort to better recruit, retain and promote attorneys with diverse backgrounds, the Boulder County District Attorney's Office has signed on with a nonprofit consulting group that works to "create cultures of inclusion" in private and public legal organizations.

Boulder is the first district attorney's office in the state to agree to work with the Denver-based Center for Legal Inclusiveness. DA Stan Garnett said his office paid a $100 fee to participate in the diversity effort.
